Locations, Locations, Locations!

Belize has so much more to offer than just sea, sun, and sand.  Awe inspiring Mayan temples, lush tropical rain-forests, traditional indigenous villages, and bustling urban streets only start to list off the numerous locations you will find in this wonderfully diverse country.

Let Oxa Productions scout and manage your locations as we have a fantastic network of local contacts.  We also know of many private locations where we can arrange for you to shoot for free or nearly free.

What about permits and work visas?

For most shoots all that is required is a basic film permit from the Belize Film Commission.  The process of obtaining this permit is simple, straightforward, and inexpensive.

Additional permits may be required if you wish to shoot in an Archaeological reserve (Mayan ruins, caves) or in a marine or forest reserve.  Depending on the scale of your production it may be necessary to get a street usage permit in the larger municipalities if you will be affecting the flow of vehicular or pedestrian traffiic.

Work permits are not required for any crew members or talent working on your production.  Citizens of USA, Canada, UK, EU and Caricom countries, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa, only need a valid passport to enter Belize.  Depending on nationality, citizens of certain countries may receive a tourist visa on arrival while others may need to apply for a visa at their nearest Belizean embassy or consulate prior to arrival.

Please feel free to contact us to find out if you will need any permits or visas for your shoot.
